Constructing dikes, levees, and sandbag barricades are complicated, labor-intensive, and require a considerable lead time to complete. By contrast, Floodblock barriers are light, mobile, and easy to install. They can be quickly transported to a location and rapidly deployed in response to an emergency flood situation by a limited crew. Typically, 2 to 3 people can quickly deploy over half a mile of barrier in roughly 4 hours and fill it with water from a single access point, making it possible to rapidly protect large geographic areas on short notice before flooding occurs.
