Badges
Badges are the fun way to learn the core principals needed to become an expert in the business sector of energy understanding and professionalism in the U.S. It is the starting point for utilities staff, sales and marketing personnel, investors, project finance staff and facility operators to get the business knowledge needed to truly understand the economic drivers in our energy economy.
Badges are earned upon completion of one or more courses. A class could be a series of classes taken over multiple periods (typically called “modules”) or a single event that could cover one or more days. Upon completion of a class or series of modules, the student will need to take an exam to determine if they have received the necessary proficiency in the course to receive a badge in the subject matter.
Badges are proof that a student has learned sufficient skills to move on to become a specialist in a broader category. It is also what is required as a prerequisite in the more advanced courses offered.
Specialist
A “specialist” has earned the right to claim knowledge in a broader category of business energy training. Examples are in the category of tax, legal, accounting, marketing, sustainability, or permitting and compliance in energy projects.
Depending on the specialty, the student is generally required to secure multiple badges and then pass an profiency exam to show that they posses the required skills to be called in specialist in the business energy category.
Students can obtain knowledge to sit for the exam by getting badges, attending events, and attending specialty courses offerings that provide the skills needed. Special discounts on events are provided to active members of Green NRG to provide savings throughout the year.

Whether provided by other organizations or by The Green NRG Institute, they are the pillar of credentials sought by professionals developing a focused career path. All employers seek or reward employees with specific certifications.
Recognized courses taken through other organizations can be given credit for the basic and intermediate course requirements offered by Green NRG Institute to achieve full certification in the core subjects above.
All CEUs earned are tracked by Green NRG and certificates will be provided for each course or event. A full history is available for all attendees at any time from our office listing the event, date, number of earned CEUs, etc.

When an event is scheduled on the “Events” tab on our website, details on the number of CEUs is provided.
